Capacity building for rural arts and cultural organisations

Summary: Would you like professional help to grow your business? Do you have a vision but lack the capacity to develop your organisation? We can help you to focus and identify ways to develop and progress. Cultivate will provide support to up to 15 organisations on a 1:1 basis to help develop business skills, facilitate support and identify capacity building needs. Support could include areas such as developing a volunteer scheme, fundraising, setting up organisational systems and procedures, and making the most of boards and committees. This programme will be free to successful applicants. Priority will be given to organisations based in the following areas: High Peak, North East Derbyshire, Bassetlaw, Newark & Sherwood, South Holland, Boston and East Lindsey. Application deadline 14th May 2007. It should include: -Name and contact details for your organisation, -a brief description of your organisation, -details of why you want to take part in the programme, and - the areas of work you would like support with. We welcome applications from rural arts and cultural organisations, but you need to be based in East Midlands, operate on a not-for-profit basis, and have been in business for a minimum of 1 year.
