Passion, Partnerships, Empowering People - EMPAF National Conference to take place on Friday 16th October 2009

Booking is now open for Passion, Partnerships and Empowering People, the EMPAF National Conference taking place at Derby QUAD on 16^th October 2009.

Costing just £50 for delegates from organisations / statutory bodies and £25 for individuals, the conference aims to explore and celebrate partnership working by bringing together delegates from the arts and other sectors who work in partnership in the development and delivery of participatory and community arts in the UK.

With confirmed speakers including community arts project participants and Eugène van Erven, senior lecturer/researcher at Utrecht University and artistic director of the International Community Arts Festival, Rotterdam, this one day event offers a wider range of opportunities to take part in lively discussion, fun activities in the QUAD Gallery and workshops covering topics such as local government reform, the nature and value of archiving, how to build lasting and effective partnerships, communicating and making contacts across sectors and building a model of participatory arts in the 21st Century.
