Development Opportunity for Boards of Cultural Organisations

The Clore Leadership Programme, in partnership with the Cultural Leadership Programme, is providing a continuation of its programme of development work for Boards of cultural organisations across the UK.  Sitting alongside the existing Clore Fellowships and Short courses, this builds on the success of the first such programme launched in 2007 in which 11 organisations participated.  12 days will be offered during 2009 and applications are now invited from interested organisations.

The programme offers an organisation the opportunity for the whole Board, together with the senior executive team, to spend a day discussing and considering how they are operating as a Board, how their relationship with the Executive is working, how they are tackling issues such as artistic risk, financial information, legal responsibilities, strategic planning, diversity, recruitment and succession planning.Twelve such day sessions will be available and organisations will be selected to ensure a balance of art forms, size and location.  The session will be held at a venue close to the organisation's base and at a date convenient for the Trustees/Directors involved between February-December 2009.

A fee will be charged on the following basis: Organisations with a turnover of £3million plus: £1500 + VAT / Organisations with a turnover of £1-3million: £1000 + VAT / Organisations with a turnover of less than £1million: £  500 + VAT.

The closing date for applications is Monday 8 December. For further information and to access the online application form, please visit the Governance section of our website http://www.cloreleadership.org/
