Developing effective diversity management skills is a key competence,  central for all managers and this one day workshop will examine a variety of issues that will help you in; managing more effectively, improving peoples’ working lives, recruitment and selection, and providing staff development. Numerous business benefits can be seen to result from developing a shared or common understanding around these issues, which is key in;

  • Helping to engender better team working,
  • Ensuring fair and equitable working practices,
  • Providing appropriate reward and recognition and
  • Increasing staff commitment and moral.

This development programme develops managers’ understanding of the legislative and business case for diversity, and their roles and responsibilities with regards to managing diverse teams and services.

This workshop enables managers to address change issues, new organisational priorities and to develop the confidence, knowledge and skills to respond effectively to rapidly changing employment legislation and increasingly diverse needs and markets.

It includes practical tools for managers to enhance their interactions with staff and stakeholders and elucidates ways of gaining a competitive edge and benefits at professional, organisational and trustee level, as well as personal development and progression.
