SEMINAR: Sponsorship and Business Relations

The Arts and Business sponsorship seminar is specifically designed to raise the understanding of arts sponsorship and to give practical guidance to arts organisations on how best to go about obtaining and developing it. It is aimed at those who have no sponsorship experience as well as those who wish to refresh themselves of the fundamental principles and practice of this important part of the arts funding mix.

The seminar is presented by an experienced Arts & Business Manager. It begins at 10am for registration and ends at 4.45pm. The day is very interactive, with plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences with other delegates.

• Definition of sponsorship and how it is used by business
• The sponsorship market and recent trends
• Why businesses sponsor the arts

The Five Point Plan for obtaining and developing sponsorship

• Assessing your organisation and its needs
• Developing packages for sponsorship

• Writing proposals and making a successful approach
• Developing a good working relationship
