About Us

Cultivate is an innovative new company launched to work with cultural organisations of all scales to maximise potential, stimulate growth and enable them to become more successful, so that people in the East Midlands can enjoy a vibrant and thriving cultural sector.

Cultivate will focus on support for not-for-profit organisations but will also act as a bridge within the commercial and public sectors to network, share experiences and allow different organisations to learn from one another.

Our mission is to cultivate continuous improvement in business practice and public engagement and new, relevant ways of working through:

• Driving and sharing best and new practice and exemplary business skills
• Promoting the practical application and usage of national, regional and local market data and intelligence
• Encouraging collaborations and co-ordinating joint action in business development and public engagement across the cultural sector and beyond
• Being a catalyst for change

Cultivate was set up by the Arts Council England - East Midlands, following extensive consultation across the East Midlands' cultural sector.
